This little blue butterfly is deceptively pretty. And just the kind of insect I want to see more of out in the yard. See how it teases you with the true color of it's inner wing.
Only when they fly do you see the true beauty of their wings. Closest thing to a host plant I have in the yard is probably the wild growing sweet pea. Unfortunately for now these will remain a passing treasure until I get around to seriously established something else they like. My attempts to get Lupinus perennis (for the endangered blue butterfly) have failed.
